Pork Shoulder Sandwich with Homemade Chutney (22WTG)

Eating and hot showers after a hard training session take on a extra special dimension. The sandwich I just devoured at my favourite local cafe was of dimensions that should make a female either blush (or beam with pride). I'd share a picture, but it was gone before I had time to think.

I'm feeling rather fortunate at the moment, as I've got some considerable energy despite a lot of training and probably not enough sleeping. I am a bit nervous that this can't continue though, and am making an effort in the next few weeks to sleep more, stretch and get some yoga and a massage in.

I apologise for my laxness in not including pictures with my training round-up, but this Dugong's been busy!

Weekly Training Round-Up

Monday: AM Short run and body-weight circuit, PM Spinning (close to spew fest)
Tuesday: Rest day (25km work commute, yoga)
Wednesday: AM Swim squad, PM Cycle (3x Hampstead Heath laps), 25km work commute
Thursday: AM Brick, PM Brick (25km return commute built into bricks
Friday: AM Cycle (hill repeats)
Saturday: AM Run (off road hill running)
Sunday: AM Cycle (100km) + Run (10 mins)

The highlights of the week from training:
- Brick sessions: when I saw these on my program last week I was nervous. The initial design was turbo and running from home. But being in a cramped flat on the second floor I thought running in and out of the flat at 6am multiple times might send my flatmates mad. Instead I chained my bike to the fence in Regents Park between intervals, and despite the A' pouring rain it worked just fine.
- Running on the Heath: getting muddy, busting a lung and racing after the girls up hills, this was such a fun session that you almost didn't notice how hard you were working.
- Sunday long ride: I got at early start in, and supplemented the shorter club ride with some early laps at Regents Park. It's hard not to enjoy such a lovely sunny day, and nice to finish by lunch time!
