January Summited

With some hill repeats this morning on the bike I ticked the last box for training in January. In case earlier posts did not alert you I have a touch of OCD (self-diagnosed). Thankfully this does not manifest itself in the need to wash my hands obsessively or the need to have everything on my desk arranged at right angles. Rather I have a special love for lists, ticking boxes, fresh starts and new pages (actual and metaphorical).

So while other athletes (or as I like to call myself in the semi-pro ranks, crapletes) love Strava because it turns every ride and run into a race, I love it because it allows me to stalk people and another forum to count things and get gold stars.

The January totals are in:

Run: 170.48km (including 2,354m of elevation gain)

Cycle: 711.03km (including 4,524m of elevation gain) + 3 x 45min tri spin classes + 2 x 1hr home turbo trainer sessions

Swim: 7 x sessions (approx 1 hour and 2km per session)

Other stuff:
Body weight circuits: 4 sessions (Push-ups, tricep dips, lunges, squats, crunches, sit-ups, planks)
Hiking: 33km over 3 days
Yoga classes: 5
Stretching and Core Strengthening: Not nearly enough

Estimate of calories burned: More than 30,000!
